January 21, 2009 - Charleston, Nevis
We went in the hot springs. It is called The Bath House.  It is water that has been heated by the ground.  It was so hot, Ryan went up to his ankles only once. I went in the whole way but it took me half and hour to do it.  There was a stream, it was hot too.  The people who live there would wash up in the stream.  The Bath House was the first built in the Caribbean in 1778.  The stream runs below The Bath House. Christopher from sv Pickles the oldest child and he only went to the third step.  William from sv Pickles the youngest  went in the whole way but then he went then he ran back.  Cari fell and then she got all itchy.

January 28, 2009 - English Harbour, Antigua
We were in the dingy and a dolphin went 1 inch away from the dingy.  I could have pet it but I was surprised.

Janaury 29, 2009 - English Harbour, Antigua
Dad was wearing hiking shoes and a cactus thorn went right threw his shoe and sock. When I put my hand in Dad's shoe, it was very very sharp.

Febraury 1, 2009 - Green island, Antigua
We met a boat called Genesis, they are Dutch, the Mom and Dad speak Dutch, French and English.  The kids speak Dutch and French.  There are three girls and one boy.  They were fun even though Ryan and Cari couldn't understand them most of the time.

February 5, 2009
We caught three fish, a four foot barracuda. The barracuda weighed 25 pounds and a 12 pound black fin tuna. We saw 6 dolphins.

February 9, 2009 - Little Bay, Montserrat
We saw three more dolphins and we saw an active volcano.  It was so so cool. Did you know lava does not flow. Andesite is about one million times greater than lava of the Hawaiian volcanoes.
Basalt is the lava from the Hawain volcanoes.  The volcano did alot of damage, alot of people had to move from where the volcano erupted.  There was a golf course and all that is left is covered in mud from the volcano.  There are houses that are buried.  We were walking on the covered golf course.  Here are some pictures that I took.

February 12, 2009 - Deschaies, Guadeloupe
Pants Overboard!  We were playing at the beach and a wave decided he liked Ryan's pants. So the wave took Ryan's pants. Ryan was so embarrased. Here a picture before Ryan's pants were taken.

February 14, 2009 - Deschaies and Pigeon Island, Guadeloupe
It is Valentine's Day! In the morning we had a pastry breakfast.  Lucky us, we got two pastries. I got a long pastry with chocloate chips, it was so good.  Since it was Valentine's Day I got an apple tart shaped as a heart. We went back to the boat and went snorkelling.  It was the most amazing snorkelling that I have ever seen. We went on a river walk, it was so so so so pretty. It took 6 hours. We made a chocolate cake and had a nice chicken dinner.

We know a boat called Leibshen from the Caribbean 1500. When Leibshen was going to Antigua they saw an 8 foot shark with a turtle in it's mouth. The turtle was flapping his flippers trying to get away. We did not take any pictures of this because we were not there.

February 18, 2009 - Les Saintes, Guadeloupe

1 c. choppped pecans or walnuts (optional, we didn't put these in)
21/2 T. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
2 T. butter, melted
1 t. vanilla

Mix the following together, and then sprinkle over mixture in pan:
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed  and 1/4 c. cocoa

Pour carefully over mjixture in pan:
1 3/4 c. boiling water

Place in preheated oven immediately.  Bake for 30 - 40 minutes.  Spoon at once into dessert bowls, spooning sauce over cake.  Can top with cream or ice cream.
